Discretion is what we do. The short version: we collect only what you type into our forms, we use it only to answer you, we never sell or publish it, and we delete it after two or three years. This policy covers tadavis.com.
01 Who we are
T.A. Davis & Associates, Inc. is an executive search firm at 230 Northgate Street #27, Lake Forest, Illinois 60045. We are responsible for the information you send through this site.

02 What we collect
Only what you send us through a form. A search brief: the role, reporting line, timing and confidentiality level you describe, and your name, title, company, email and phone. The confidential register: your name, email, phone, current title and employer, location, LinkedIn address, the industries and functions that interest you, an optional salary expectation and notes, and your résumé. A contact message: your name, email, optional phone and company, and your message.
The cost-of-vacancy calculator saves the figures you enter each time you calculate, with nothing that identifies you. If you ask for the breakdown, we also keep your name, company and email.
We note which page you came from, so we know how you found us. Our servers keep ordinary technical logs, including IP addresses, to run the site and stop abuse; these are kept only as long as that needs.
03 How we use it
To answer you: to reply to a brief or message, to send the calculator breakdown you asked for, and to consider you for searches if you join the register. When you send a form, the firm receives an email notification and you may receive an acknowledgement.
We do not sell your information, publish it, or use it for advertising. If you ask for the calculator breakdown and agree to a follow-up, a principal may contact you once; if you don't agree, we only send the breakdown.
04 The confidential register
Your file is read only by the firm. It is not a database clients can search, and there are no listings or applications. Your name and résumé go to a client only after we have described the role and you have said yes. If you ask us never to contact your current employer, we won't.
Résumés are kept in private storage with no public web address, and they are never attached to emails. Only signed-in members of the firm can download them.
05 Who else handles it
A few service providers handle information on our behalf, only to run this site: the company that hosts our servers and database, a cloud storage service that keeps uploaded résumés and photos privately, an email delivery service that sends our emails, and Cloudflare, which screens our forms for spam. They may not use it for anything else.
We share information with a client only as described above for the register, and otherwise only if the law requires it.
06 How long we keep it
Search briefs, contact messages and calculator figures and requests are deleted two years after you send them. Register files, résumé included, are deleted three years after you join. Deletion is automatic, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.
Files uploaded to a form that was never sent are deleted automatically within a day or two.
07 Cookies and analytics
The site sets one cookie that its forms need to protect you against forged submissions. Members of the firm who sign in also get a sign-in cookie. There are no advertising cookies and no visitor tracking. If we add visitor statistics, we will describe them here first.
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam: when you open a form, your browser connects to Cloudflare, which checks your browser and IP address to tell people from bots, for that purpose only. Apart from that check, pages load nothing from other companies' servers.
08 Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email info@tadavis.com; if you are on the register we delete your file, résumé included. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your information; ask, and we will honor them.
09 Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
